Hopewell Missionary Baptist Association

The Hopewell MBA was organized in 1885 by Reverend W.L. Jones an his co-laborers at Norcross, GA., in the Hopewell Baptist Church (hence its name). Rev. Jones being a member of Salem Baptist Church, Lilburn, GA., saw the necessity of getting a few churches together in that part of North Georgia and forming an association. From the beginning it was a success, new churches being added at each annual session.
The association is operated with the direction of the moderator and an executive board.

Moderator Calvin B. Hopkins
The Association is organized into four departments; Layman's Department, Women's Department, Congress of Christian Education and Youth Department. Today, the Association's membership includes 10 active churches.
